Final report IranConMin 2019

Despite a difficult environment, the anniversary edition of IranConMin took place in Tehran from October 31 to November 3, 2019. This year, the trade fair for construction machinery and mining celebrated its 25th anniversary. Since the first event in 1994, it has developed into the leading trade fair for the construction and mining sector in the region. In 2019, 197 exhibitors from five countries filled six halls at the Tehran Permanent Fairground and in the open-air area. Among them were 27 international companies. With the Iranian exhibitors, there was even a slight increase by six percent. In total, 14,950 visitors came to the fairground.

Germany and China were present with country pavilions where companies from the respective countries showcased their products at a joint stand. At the Mining Conference which took place with talks and discussions at the same time as the trade fair, mining experts debated current issues of the industry.

25 years IranConMin
In 1994, the German overseas trade fair company IMAG organized the first edition of IranConMin in Tehran. Already then, their partners were the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA) as well as the Iranian trade fair organizers Palar Samaneh Co. In 2014, the Iranian mining association IranMineHouse also came on board. Since then, the organizers decided to host the event every year in response to the steady increase in demand from exhibitors and visitors. Meanwhile, the event has become the largest and most international trade fair for construction and mining in the region which also attracts more and more visitors from the neighboring countries. A special focus lies on the mining sector which is traditionally of high importance in Iran.

The next IranConMin is planned for the beginning of November 2020.
